HISTORY. The Condor Legion was a unit composed of military personnel from the Luftwaffe and Heer of Nazi Germany, which served with the Nationalists during the Spanish Civil War from July 1936 to March 1939.  The Condor Legion Developed methods of strategic bombing which were used widely during WW2.  The bombing of Guernica was the most infamous operation carried out by the Condor Legion.  Hugo Sperrle commanded the Luftwaffe unit and Wilhelm Ritter von Thoma commanded the ground element.

The cuffitle is made of heavy dark blue wool, edges machine sewn with dark blue thread, machine embroidered “Legion Condor” in silvery grey thread. NCO cufftitle. 15 3/4” long (40cm). Unissued & MINT.
