Beautiful Heer dress bayonet, measuring 400 mm in length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 250 mm-long nickel-plated MINT magnetic metal unsharpened blade. The blade presents with fullers on each side, as well as a maker’s mark on the reverse ricasso in the form of the Carl Eickhorn squirrel logo. The blade sits securely within the hilt, which consisting of beautiful nickel-plating and crisp black bakelite grips, held together by dual magnetic metal rivets. It is accompanied by its period original scabbard that is 98% original paint. The shaft bears a hook accommodating attachment to a frog, while the throat is held together by a single rivet. The bayonet is complete with a MINT red / silver gray troddel, properly tied to the frog. Overall the bayonet is as Near MINT as I’ve ever seen.
