Germany. Luger 1942 Black Widow Rig

Germany. Luger 1942 Black Widow Rig

$3,400.00

HISTORY.   The Luger was originally designed in 1898 by Georg J. Luger and first manufactured two years later by a German company called Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken (DWM).  The Luger is a toggle locked, recoil operated, semi-automatic pistol that is normally chambered in 9mm Parabellum.  It utilizes an adjustable front blade sight and fixed V notch rear sight that is located on the rear toggle link.  It is fed by a single stack 8 round detachable box magazine, but it can also be fed by using a 32 round detachable drum.  The Swiss Army first purchased the Luger in 1900, followed by the German Navy in 1904 and German Army in 1908.  The popularity of the weapon is understandable – durable, well-made and with so many variations, making it the most popular collector gun in the world.

Very nice 1942 BYF (Mauser) Black Widow Luger. Serial # 7714, 9mm, nice bore, 95% original finish, correct stamps, extra magazine and tool in the holster. The holster is a black pig shin hard shell that is in excellent condition except for a small hole in the magazine pouch. Overall this is a super nice Black Widow Rig.
