$1,175.00

HISTORY. The Fez was found by US Sgt. James Carl of the 45th Infantry Division in Nancy, France. Just days later Sgt. Carl helped liberated Dachau Concentration Camp. Along with the Fez, you will get Sgt. Carl’s hand written note outlining his finding of the Fez and the liberation of Dachau.

Dress Fez of the Waffen-SS 13th Mountain Division. Constructed of heavy red wool. The crown features a tassel consisting of a red wool tube bearing an array of braided black silk threads, with several of the threads stitched to the structure of the fez, preventing them from obstructing the wearer’s vision. Stitched into the peak of the fez is an insignia in the form of a silver-grey, machine-embroidered, BeVo-style SS eagle.  Underneath the eagle is a SS Totenkopf insignia (some damage to the Tokenkopf).  The interior presents plain with the exception of a tan leather sweatband.  Small area of mothing on the right side.  Overall Excellent++.
