Standard Type 44 “Gladiator” Helmet worn by the Luftschutz. Obviously no decal or liner. Marked on the back underside “RL 2-38/28” for the maker Paul Diener, Dreseden. The decal just below the maker stamp says in rough translation, “Air Protection Act, Head Width: 57.”. My guess is it was a late war production and they didn’t both putting on decals. Nice war trophy.
