Interesting example of the Waffen-SS Other Ranks Model 1943. This piece is constructed with the traditional field green/grey wool. The overall exterior condition is very good with a small stain on the top, one button missing and the visor cardboard stiffener has lost some of its shape (soldiers would sometimes fold their cap and stick them in their back pocket). The interior is lining shows moderate wear from use. There are stamps in the interior, but are very hard to read. The cap has a very nicely hand applied insignia which have not been replaced. Both insignia are in excellent condition. Nice example of a SS Model 1943 Cap.
