US. WW1. M1917 Brodie Helmet, 89th Infantry Division

$185.00

HISTORY.  The 89th Infantry Division was activated in August 1917 under the command of Major General Leonard Wood.  Initially trained in Nebraska, they where quickly shipped to Europe and participated in two major WW1 engagements:  Saint Michel and the final Allied offensive of the war, Meuse-Argonne.

This is an amazing US WW1 Doughboy Helmet.  The helmet is not only complete, but in amazing condition, right down to the cloth instruction tag in the top interior reminding the soldier to keep his helmet on tight.  The lining & chin strap are original, complete and in near MINT condition considering its age.  In addition, it comes with, “The Rolling W” Insignia of the 89th Infantry Division, on both sides of the helmet.  Incredible piece of US history.
