Constructed of stamped alloy. Seen in period photos being worn as both a breast & cap insignia. Features a second pattern Luftwaffe style eagle, clutching a canted swastika in one talon, encompassed by a multi-toothed, cogged wheel. The eagle’s wings extended beyond the cog wheel with a roughly 1 5/8” wingspan from wing tip to wing tip. The reverse has all of the original three attachment prongs intact and is well marked with the embossed script, "Ges. Gesch." (Protected by Law). Scarce. MINT.
