Constructed of silvered feinzink. Multi-piece construction. The reverse has two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in position. A barrel hinge emanating from an oval plate and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch mounted on a circular plate. Maker marked “W. DEUMER, LÜDENSCHEID” (requires a jewelers loop to properly read). Demonstrating a major loss of silver finish throughout the badge. Late-war example. Overall a very nice example.
