The hilt is excellent with a nickel pommel and crossguard. The pumpkin colored grip is excellent with only a small nick on the reverse. The eagle shows great detailing. The blade is bright with a few wear, drag and age spots. On the reverse is an early maker logo for Gebruder Heller, Marienthal. The scabbard is straight with no dents and is silvered steel with nickel plated mounts. A nice patina matches that of the hilt. Completing it is an excellent portepee. Overall a solid collector piece.
