Exceptional early Aesculap SA dagger. The hilt with excellent nickel crossguards, tang nut (lightly turned) and eagle. The grip is excellent with one small scratch on the left obverse and a small chip on the reverse. The blade is bright with lots of original cross grain and almost all the original lettering black still present. The scabbard has nickel plated mounts is straight and a very nice anodizined body. The lower mount has two almost unnoticeable dimples. The scabbard hanger has nice leather, fully functional and stamped L2 / 371 / 39. The belt loop has soft leather. The grip hanger & belt loop both have good leather and fully functional. Doesn’t get much nicer than this!
