A nice early SA dagger. The hilt is MINT. The wooden grip is as close to flawless as I’ve seen. It fits perfectly into the upper & lower cross guards. Both cross guard and tang nut are finely toned nickle. The eagle is flush and mint. The SA runes button is the copper type. The reverse of the lower cross guard is stamped “He” indicating distribution to a member of the SA-Gruppe Hessen. The blade is in good condition with strong drag marks. The etching is nice and the frosting is a weak in the letter backgrounds.. The blade reverse is marked for F.W. Holler. The scabbard is an early anodized example with toned nickle mounts and all four screws and is straight & dent free. A leather hanger completes a very nice early SA dagger. Overall an Excellent++.
