HISTORY. The Gioventu Italian del Littorio (GIL)…translated, “Italian Youth of the Lictor” was the consolidated youth movement of the national Fascist Party of Italy, established in 1937. It served as indoctrination for the Italian youth and finally as a para-military training grown.
This super rare miniature Fascist Youth Leader Dagger measures 9 1/4" inches in length with ebony wood checkered grips and a lion head pommel. The blade has lost some plating at the ricasso, but the remainder of the blade is mirror like. The blade is unmarked. Excellent++.
