This traditional Scottish cap that dates back to the 16th century, can be worn as part of formal or informal Highland dress. It is named after Balmoral Castle, a royal residence in Scotland.  A regimental badge is worn on the left-hand side, affixed to the silk ribbon (which is missing, but could be added).  Repair (see last picture). Inside marked size 6 6/8 and maker marked, but unreadable. Excellent++
